Running in Thailand

About Running in Thailand

An English-language guide to where to run, what to enter and how to survive the heat — written by runners who actually run here.

Why this site exists

Thailand is a wonderful place to run and a frustrating one to research. Race information is scattered across Facebook posts, Thai-language event pages and registration platforms that come and go. Park loop distances are guessed at. Club schedules live in LINE groups you can't see until someone adds you.

This site is the resource we wanted when we arrived: measured routes with transport directions and coffee stops, a race calendar that keeps every edition of an event on one permanent page, and honest advice about heat, humidity and air quality.

Who it's for

  • check_circleVisitors who want a decent run near their hotel without an hour of research
  • check_circleExpats settling in and looking for a group to run with
  • check_circleRunners planning a trip around a Thai race — from a 10K to a 160 km ultra
  • check_circleAnyone trying to work out whether it's too hot, too humid or too smoky to train today

How we work

Route guides come from running the routes. Race pages are built from official event sources and updated as each edition is announced, with results links added afterwards so the history stays in one place rather than fragmenting into a new page every year.

We're not a registration platform and we don't sell entries. Where an event sells its own places we link straight to the organiser, and we link out to Thai registration platforms such as Runlah, Jog and Joy and ThaiRun for everything else.

Corrections and contributions

Race dates move, parks close for renovation and clubs change their meeting points. If something here is wrong or out of date, tell us — corrections are genuinely welcome, as are suggestions for routes and clubs we've missed.
